IIT Jammu offers a Full-time Ph.D. program in different science and engineering disciplines. The institute also invites applications for the Off-Campus Ph.D. program from a candidate working as a regular employee in an organization or R&D establishment.

While applications can be made anytime during the year, shortlisting of applications and the selection process is tentatively conducted twice a year (May-June and November-December).

The fully funded RISE-UP Scheme is intended to nurture and promote research culture in UG/PG students at IIT Jammu. It is designed to give students an opportunity to closely work with faculty members at IIT Jammu and to gain valuable research experience. The scheme is open to pre-final year undergraduate/post-graduate Non-IIT Jammu students.

We welcome UG/PG/Ph.D. Students from recognized institutes/universities at our laboratory to carry out research projects towards their course curriculum. Candidates with an Electrical background and interest in Power Engineering Research can apply. The internship position is unpaid. However, partial funding support can be provided to deserving candidates.

The internship will be conducted in offline mode. The accommodation inside the campus is subject to availability and on payment basis. 

B.Tech./M.Tech. students from IIT Jammu are also welcome to work with us on Power Engineering Problems.

The application is open throughout the year. However, for Non-IIT Jammu candidates, an internship is offered during winter/summer semester break.
